Cumin and chili powder lend a kick to this smooth pumpkin soup!

Ingredients & Instructions

INGREDIENTS:
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin (not pie filling)
1 1/2 cups chicken stock made from Karlsburger Xtra-Fine chicken base
1 cup low-fat milk
1 teaspoon Karlsburger ground cumin
2 Karlsburger bay leaves
Salt and Karlsburger restaurant black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Karlsburger dark chili powder
Fresh sage leaves
Popcorn and pumpkin seeds, for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
In a medium saucepan, whisk together pumpkin, broth, milk, chili powder and cumin.
Add bay leaves and set pan over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer. Simmer 10 minutes.
Remove from heat, remove bay leaves and season, to taste, with salt and black pepper.
Garnish with sage, popcorn and pumpkin seeds before serving
